Since our inception, we worked hard to offer our clientele best quality products wrapped in traditional cordiality. Thus, today we are one of the leading firms in this trade for providing best quality Sweets & Namkeen.

Muni Pendawala is a family owned business and was initially started in Sihor (Bhavnagar District) by Late Shri Sukhlal Muni before 96 years (1912), who was father of Shri Shantilal Muni. Shri Sukhlal Muni worked as an employee in a sweet merchant shop with a monthly pay of just 7 Rs. before starting up his own sweet shop. Firstly, he started the business with only one product, Penda. His son Shantilal Muni joined the business before completing his studies at a very young age of 7 years. With a vision to expand the age old family business of sweets, Shri Shantilal Muni used to sell Penda’s (A specialty of Muni Pendawala) coming from Sihor to Bhavnagar on a Bicycle before the inception of this shop in Bhavnagar.

The day was 20th August 1958, when a young man Late Shri Shantilal Muni came from a small town Sihor and started a sweet shop with an initial investment of less than 5000 Rs and blessings of Shri Sukhlal Muni. Coming from a family of Sweet` Merchants of Sihor, the art of making sweets was in his blood. He used this art to manufacture Traditional Indian Sweets and till today that is being followed at the shop. Now the second and third generation also has joined the business and giving it a new vision by diversifying into Out Door Catering services and Traditional Hand made (Sancha) Ice-cream Business (Muni Ice-cream).

We are the Pioneer of Rajwadi Penda’s (A specialty of Muni Pendawala in which milk is specially processed so as to form small granules of MAWA (Khoya) and extra saffron and Almonds is added to give a unique taste), Dry Fruit Halwa, Cadbury Balls and many other such sweets. At the time of Inception we used to sell just 2-3 types of sweets, but gradually we developed different varieties of sweets and added it to our menu.

Since 1912 we are the first ones in this industry to introduce a system of production where in each and every ingredient is used with accurate weight and proportion. This has helped us to achieve consistency in taste and quality of our products. Because of this system followed in the production process we are still able to maintain the same taste and quality that was provided 96 years ago at the time of inception to our customers. This has also helped Muni Pendawala achieve a very popular name for Traditional Indian Sweets in Saurashtra. Now this system is being followed by many other sweet merchants.

Since the inception of Muni Pendawala Creativity and Innovation has been the mantra of our shop, and being in the food industry maximum creativity is possible here. Keeping that thing in mind we allow the Karigars (workers) to use their ideas and imagination to come out with different varieties of sweets. Our belief has gifted us with many popular and mouth watering sweets.

Pineapple Mattho, Kesar Shrikhand, Kesar Mohanthal, Churma Ladoo, Motichoor Ladoo, Kesar Penda, Kaju Katri, Dry fruit Halwa, Cadbury Balls are some of the most popular sweets of our shop and come under the best sellers list of our menu.

In January 2001 we diversified into two related businesses, Outdoor Catering Services and Traditional Hand made (Sancha) Ice-cream (Muni Ice-cream). Under the Brand Muni Ice-cream we manufacture Pure Vegetarian, Jain Natural Ice-cream, made from pure milk, cream, sugar and natural ingredients without adding any type of emulsifying and stabilizing powders and agents.
